Salad Jars

I love them for its versatility and its prettiness.

Glass of wine, basil leaves, tomatoes, dry pasta and some salt grains on a white tablecloth


You can add anything to these jars - veges, fruits, nuts, cheese, chicken, boiled eggs pretty much anything goes. I love that it's make-ahead and leaves you extra minutes to glam up on the day of the event.


In these jars of deliciousness I have:


Boiled Beets

Pomelo

Sundried tomatoes

Feta cheese

Basil


Dressing:


Olive oil

Balsamic vinegar

Salt

Pepper


Method:


Boil the beetroots, cool and chop into cubes. Toss only the beets with dressing. Substitute chopped pomelo with any citrus fruit like oranges or grapefruit. Layer with each element and finally top with feta and herbs. Add nuts for texture. Serve chilled.
